ANALYZER SYSTEM

In process plants like refinery, chemicla/petrochemical, gas processing, food and pharmaceutical etc., where up-to-date and reliable information and critical process steam properties is required for optimum quality control, various types of process analyzers are installed and operated. Those analyzers, however, are mostly very sophisticated products and are sesitive to conditions of sample and environment, because of which the reliability of the information from the analyzers could be degraded.

The objective of process sample handling system is to provide analyzers with samples which are representative of process streams with respect to the measured variable. It also conditions samples to make them compatible with the measurement technologies used by the analyzers.

In designing sample handling system, in addition to achieving above objectives, factors susch as total response time of measured signal, system reliability, cost to build and operate the system, and safety for personnel, equipments and environment should be considered.

If the system has to be installed outdoor and/or in hazardous area, it should be housed in a shelter equipped with HVAC system or other equipments as appropriate and the design and selection of system componets should strictly follow applicable codes and standards.
